more summer fun

swimming with Mommy!
first haircut with Miss Tina. I LOVE his face. Looks to me like the front of a greeting card that would have some funny inside saying.
hiking as a family at Clifton Gorge. It's really beautiful...

illegally feeding the ducks at Shawnee. The white ducks get really angry when you stop feeding them; guess that's why they tell you not to do it! lesson learned.

It's been way too long

Ok, since my last post SO much has happened. We moved to Ohio in June, celebrated Max's 1st birthday in July, and have been enjoying a great summer with our family and friends.

I (Meghan) took a new job as the Executive Director of Breakthrough Cincinnati. It's been great so far. Scott is still working for Ascend in St. Louis by way of his home "office" in Xenia. His office is really a desk crammed in the corner of our bedroom at his parents' house.

Enjoy the photos above!

Spring is almost here...

So, we have had lots of fun this month. It's been 70 and beautiful outside to 30 and freezing inside and out. Max has adjusted well and rolled with the punches. Here are some of the memorable moments since the last post:

  • rolling over from his back to his tummy (not fun when he does it at 3 AM and wakes up screaming b/c he can't get back to his back.
  • got his last Synagis treatments! We are now able to join the world of the living. Look out world, we've been cooped up for 8 months!
  • Went to the NICU for a follow-up visit. We were told he was literally the biggest NICU baby they have seen at that age. He weighs 22 lbs right now. He has already caught up on his height and weight. Most preemies don't do this for 2 YEARS! God was really looking out for me- I couldn't have delivered a 15 lb baby! :)
  • ordered a new car seat. outgrew the baby one. see above.
  • got to spend a whole Friday with Daddy. Went to the park, on a walk, ate twinkies, watched Sportscenter; you know, the works.

Ok, at last, here are some new photos of our little man.

February FUN!

We had a snow day a couple of weeks ago. We took Max out for about 3 minutes (after spending 10 getting him all bundled). He wasn't a fan. TOO bright for those baby blues!

Will you be my Valentine?

time for an update...

So, since our last post (I know, it's been forever) Max has gotten to do lots of new things! He has started eating rice cereal mixed with a little fresh from Grammy's garden veggies. He has also started getting a tooth on the bottom. Man, that's not fun to go through poor guy. I am sure it's not as bad as some of the stuff from his stay in the hospital, but can't be fun by any means.

Here are some of his 6 month photos that our friend, Dave Lang shot for us. They are really beautiful. Thanks Dave Lang!

We can't believe that Max is 6 months old already! He was weighed the other day at the doctor's and is up to 17 lbs. We're hoping to switch to real food when we go to the doctor again today! He is cutting a tooth on the top of his mouth, hence the eating of the hands. He is our PRIDE and JOY!
